1. How Payment is Made

Payment is made by paying 100% of the portrait commission at the beginning of the project.

2. Refund Policy

Joel Wright Studio has a nonrefundable payment policy. Once you have completed checkout for a portrait commission, you have entered into a contract of completion and delivery of the portrait commission. It is impossible to checkout without agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Under special circumstances, exceptions can be made and a refund issued as listed:

  • I am unable to complete your request for my own reasons.
  • I am unwilling to travel to your location for photoshoot with particular hazards, conditions or distance.

1. When to Expect Completion of Your Order

You can expect your order to be completed in 6-8 weeks from the time I have the photo reference secure. If for some reason I have not received a photo or taken the photo myself then the delivery time period can go on indeterminately. At the point I have a photo reference I give 6-8 weeks for completion from that time.

2. Portrait Paintings with The Correct Values are Darker Than Expected

When a painting has the correct values then it requires that it be placed under a track light with generous lumens. When the right lighting conditions are met, then the painting will appear to glow. Until the lighting requirements have been achieved then it will appear dark.

3. Progress Updates

During the creative process of your painting I will send you progress pics and even make videos for sharing. If a painting is a surprise gift I will wait to post anything on social media that might ruin the surprise.

1. Financing is Available

You can divide your payments with Affirm or Shop Pay during the checkout process. The terms and conditions will be unique for everyone based on credit history.
